I am an Account Planner at AMVBBDO in London. Prior to that I worked with John Robson, Magnus Willis and Laura Roberts at Sparkler. I originally studied archaeology and anthropology, and had a dangerously close shave with academia. I was (and still am) particularly interested in the relationship between people and things. This blog is a way to share things that might be interesting, an impetus to develop my own thinking (“I write to know what I think”), and of course gratuitously self promote. The title Man Makes Himself is not intended to be sexist or misogynistic, but is a homage to Vere Gordon Childe and his groundbreaking 1936 book of the same name. One of my early posts explains the connection and relevance in more detail.
